Colour rinsing, highlights & balayage

At Hairview by Samantha, we offer a variety of techniques to colour your hair. In terms of colours, the palette in our salon is virtually endless. From dark colours to bright pastel shades, we’ve got you covered.

What’s special about the way we use hair dye, is that we add a BB3 ingredient to our colouring products. That makes your colour of choice last much longer. Below, you’ll find an overview of the options:

Very subtle highlights with no obvious contrast. It looks like your hair has been naturally brightened by the sun. The highlights are not all the way through your hair, but only around your face and the top of your head.

In a balayage, we create strokes along the length of your hair. In doing so, we keep the roots darker, while lightening the ends of your hair. The big advantage of a balayage is that it is less damaging than colouring with foils.

Highlights are streaks of dye in your hair that are lighter than your own hair colour. To create the desired depth, we usually work with a colour that is two to three shades lighter than your natural colour. This is how we achieve a so-called sun-kissed effect.

A colour rinse is an inexpensive way to colour your hair. The product contains no hydrogen peroxide and is therefore less harmful than permanent hair dye. The result lasts about fourteen to sixteen washes and fades evenly. That prevents you from suffering a huge contrast when it comes to the roots of your hair!

Unlike with highlights – where you get lighter parts in your hair – with lowlights, we create darker parts than your own hair colour. Often, lowlights are more subtle than highlights because the dyed strands are tucked beneath your lighter hair strands.
